Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Ertuğrul Sarı ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use Hourstracker (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
The App is developed and operated by Ertuğrul Sarı, an independent developer. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com.
2. Our Privacy Stance
We built this App with privacy in mind. Here is the short version:
- We do not have user accounts or authentication systems.
- We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Everything you log is stored only on your device. We operate no server that receives your work data, and we cannot access it.
- Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you use the App, you create one or more jobs and log your shifts. For each job you may enter a workplace name, the type of work, an hourly rate, a currency, and an overtime rule (a daily hours threshold and a pay multiplier). For each shift you may enter the date, start and end times, an unpaid break length, and, optionally, a rate that overrides the job's default and a free-text note. From these, the App calculates your worked hours, the regular and overtime split, and your pay. All of this information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information. We do not collect payment card details; all payments are processed exclusively by Apple. We do not collect precise GPS location. We do not collect advertising identifiers, behavioral analytics, or browsing history. We do not use cookies. The App contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
4. How We Use Your Information
All calculations are performed on your device. The jobs and shifts you enter are used solely to show you your earnings, hours, and overtime inside the App, and to build the exported timesheet file if you choose to export one. The App does not connect to any server that we operate, and none of your work data leaves your device except when you deliberately share an exported file using the iOS share sheet, in which case you control where it goes.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to anyone. We share data only in the following circumstances.
Apple: All payments and subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
RevenueCat: RevenueCat manages your in-app subscription. It receives a pseudonymous app user ID, your purchase receipt from Apple, and your entitlement status. It does not receive your name, email, or any of the jobs or shifts you log. RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ertuğrul Sarı, our users, or the public.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Your jobs and shifts are stored on your device and remain there until you delete them within the App or uninstall the App. Because we operate no server for your work data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Subscription state is stored on RevenueCat's servers per their retention policy.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Because we do not maintain a user account database and store nothing on our own servers, all of your work data resides on your device, which you control directly. To delete individual jobs or shifts, remove them within the App. To delete all data, uninstall the App.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold, as well as rights to data portability and to object to processing. Because your data is stored only on your own device, these rights can be exercised directly. For any remaining requests, contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at estifieapps@gmail.com for any requests.
9. Security
All communications between the App and any third-party services (Apple and RevenueCat) are protected using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Your work data never leaves your device. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, through a notice in the App or the App Store listing. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
